Dear Dean Shrubsall,
Edward Hill is currently a valued member of the faculty of the Southern California Campus of the University of Phoenix. Ed has been a member of our faculty since May 2001, when he completed the certification process. Over the past seven years he has taught 64 classes on three of our campuses in Southern California and is currently approved to teach 23 different courses in mainly in Communication, but also in Sociology, Literature, English, and Philosophy.
We have received many positive comments about his teaching from our students. Ed was a participant in a Critical Thinking Faculty Workshop which I taught a few years ago. I enjoyed having him in my class. I have found him responsive to constructive criticism, and suggestions for improvement. Ed has kept up with the ever-increasing online and web-based course developments of our high tech course delivery systems, such as the electronic grade book, online course forums and other web-based instructional tools.
Ed's most recent in class evaluation this past year was very positive. I understand he is taking time off next year to live and travel in Thailand. We will miss his service to our University, but we hope you will find an opportunity to use his skills.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
Jacqueline B. Shahzadi, Ph.D.
